       The surprise in this is that Mitch Moreland, a lefthanded batter, is starting ahead of Jorge Cantu against Andy Pettitte. But Cantu has not looked good at the plate in a while and he was tentative fielding Brett Gardner's infield single, a key play in Game 1.

      "I'm going day to day," manager Ron Washington said. "Today I chose Moreland because of the at-bats he’s been giving me. It doesn’t matter, left or right."
