Pettitte said he feels 100 percent after getting skipped against his wishes in Detroit. Here's what he had to say today. See if you can spot the sentence where he reveals his annoyance at getting skipped:

“I felt good. I felt good in the pen yesterday. I felt good today throwing. I’m ready to go.”

“I’m going to go out there. I’m not going to worry about it. I hope it feels good. You deal with whatever but it didn’t bother me in the pen. For me, I just need to get out there and throw the game and get through tomorrow and then feel good about it because it hasn’t bothered me in my work in-between, you know? I didn’t expect for it to bother me in my work in-between because it never did before. I figured it wouldn’t with the rest I had.”

“It’s tough for me because I’ve pitched with so much stuff in my elbow, so many problems. It’s also tough because I realize we have a deep starting rotation and it’s not like it’s just me here. I also want to pitch. I think I know what I can pitch with and pitch through. Hopefully I don’t have to worry about it tomorrow. It’s on the outside of my elbow, so it’s not as big a concern to me as if it was on the inside.”
