Another test for A.J. Burnett
With all eyes on Alex Rodriguez and his quest for 600 home runs, do not forget that A.J. Burnett will be starting for the Yankees tonight in Cleveland. He is two starts removed from his Oldtimers Day meltdown, where he was pelted by the Rays and beat himself up--literally--after being removed.
Burnett had an effective, albeit brief outing against the Royals in his last start. He pitched five scoreless innings, allowing four hits and striking out three before rain ended his day.
Over his career, Burnett (8-8. 4.77) is just 2-4 with a 5.68 ERA against the Indians.
