Astros = No run support
We talked yesterday about the Astros' starters for the three-game series against the Yankees -- Brett Myers, Wandy Rodriguez and Brian Moehler.
Rodriguez is 3-8 with a 4.95 ERA. But his win-loss record is a bit deceiving. Mostly due to the list below:
National League starting pitchers who have averaged the least run support this season:
(Through Wednesday)
1. Charlie Morton, Pirates -- 1.70
2. Roy Oswalt, Astros -- 2.67
3. Felipe Paulino, Astros -- 2.73
4. Clayton Richard, Padres -- 2.92
5. Wandy Rodriguez, Astros -- 3.08
6. Kenshin Kawakami, Braves -- 3.18
7. Johan Santana, Mets and Zach Duke, Pirates -- 3.33
