While the Yankees are in Toronto, first -place Tampa Bay hosts Baltimore for three games. Baltimore has reverted to form with four straight defeats and six losses in its last 10 games.

Tampa Bay leads the Yankees by a half-game (one in the loss column) in the AL East.

The Yankees have six games left in the regular season, Tampa Bay seven.

The Rays will start Wade Davis (12-9, 4.13) who has a lifetime record against Baltimore of  3-0 with a 1.86 ERA and 21 strikeouts.  

Orioles starter Brian Matusz (8-12, 4,59) has generally pitched well in the second half but was knocked out by the Rays in their last encounter as he allowed five earned runs in four innings.
