Bartman play averted, now's time to get pen ready
You've got to be happy for the big guy in the stands down the third base line. Had Josh Hamilton gone on to get a hit and tie the game, the fan would have become a mini-Steve Bartma (the Cubs fan who interfered with a pop down the line in 2003 and possibly cost the team a chance to make the World Series).
If you're Joe Girardi, you've got to consider getting A.J. Burnett out of harm's way soon. Tell him thanks and sorry for all the anguish that his start generated. Get him safely out of there before something bad happens.
