Butera's LI connection for Twins
Like father, like son. Former Met minor leaguer Drew Butera is a backup catcher for the Twins. His father, Sal, had the same position for the 1988 World Series-winning Twins.
Sal, who works in the front office for the Blue Jays, attended Connetquot High School and was drafted out of Suffolk CC-Selden. Drew, 27, was sent from the Mets to the Twins in the deal for Luis Castillo.
Sal and Drew are the first father-son combination in Twins' history.
