Dodgers' Mattingly is true blue
Former Yankee Don Mattingly will wear uniform No. 8 to honor Yogi Berra but the first-year manager of the Dodgers, who took over for Joe Torre, will tone down any other references to his years in New York
``I had great fortune playing in New York,''' he was quoted in spring training, ``but I'm proud to be part of this organization and continue to build on what the organization has done over the years. I have no rings. I want my first year as a manager to be a lot like Joe's. He didn't get any rings as a player and got four or five in New York. I plan to get four or five out here."
