Jorge (not Posada) impresses Girardi
It happens every spring. The unexpected.
With very, very early returns, Jorge Vazquez has hit the exhibition radar screen. The fairly old (28) prospect has hit home runs in the first two exhibition games.
Vazquez hit 18 homers in Triple-A last season.
Vazquez will not supplant Mark Teixeira at first, but could compete for a spot as a reserve at first or third, manager Joe Girardi is saying.
