Just one of those days for Rafael Soriano

We’ve all been there.
Those days where we just don’t feel like being bothered, when we don’t feel like talking to a single soul. Well, it seems Rafael Soriano just happens to have more of those days than the rest of us.
“Sometimes, you know, I would come in the morning and I feel like I don’t want to talk to nobody in that moment. I don’t,” he said in front of his locker Wednesday afternoon. “…When I feel like that, I talk different . . . and when Soriano come back, I talk to you like normal.”
The Yankees' setup man not only ignored a call from his mother after giving up three earned runs in two-thirds of an inning and blowing a 4-0 lead in the eighth in Tuesday's 5-4 10-inning loss to the Twins, but when asked if he’d answer her call the next time he had a poor outing, he said: “It really depends on how I’m feeling.”
A calmer, more collected Soriano said he finally touched base Wednesday with his mother, who watched the game on TV in the Dominican Republic.
“She tell me, ‘Hey, what happened? You not feel good last night?’’ he said. “She’s seen me, how I throw the ball, and she know I don’t throw the ball like that. She tell me, ‘It be too cold for you?’ I said, ‘No. It be cold, but it be a bad day.’”
