Kevin Youkilis out for season
Bad news for Red Sox Nation: An MRI today showed a tear in a muscle in the right thumb of first baseman Kevin Youkilis. He will undergo surgery Friday in Cleveland and be lost for the season.
Youkilis was hitting .307 with 19 home runs and 62 runs batted in.
