Lance Berkman says he'll be back this weekend
Lance Berkman said his ankle injury is something he has dealt with before and that the swelling he is suffering from usually subsides within a few days, but that this time it is taking longer for the ankle to heal.
He said he feels comfortable being used as a pinch hitter Wednesday night and should be ready to play full-time again this weekend against Seattle.
Joe Girardi said he will consider using Berkman off the bench Wednesday nightt, but it depends on the situation because he'll also have to bring in a pinch runner if Berkman reaches base.
