Javier Vazquez (10-9, 5.07), the second most maligned Yankee pitcher after A.J. Burnett,  could be making his final appearance with the team when he starts tonight against the Blue Jays.

Vazquez is replacing Andy Pettitte, who is being skipped so Joe Girardi can prepare his rotation for the  playoffs.

The last time Vazquez pitched, he hit three straight batters in a mop-up appearance against the Rays. He had been in and out of the rotation before finally losing his spot to Ivan Nova.

With only three games left in the regular season after tonight, this could be it for Vazquez, who is a free agent.

Tonight's pefrormance could determine if Vazquez  even makes the postseason roster.
