As you'd expect, and appropriately so, Cliff Lee during today's ALCS media day didn't get too much into the speculation that he'll be headed to the Yankees this offseason as a free agent.

"“I don’t really get caught up in that at all to be honest with you,” Lee said. “I’m a Texas Ranger right now, we’re in a good position and we’re going to try and win a World Series ring. That’s where my focus is. I’m not at all worried about what’s going to happen in the offseason, any of that. It’s not consuming any of my thoughts.”

A topic he did expound on was his initial impression of CC Sabathia, a teammate in Cleveland and one of his best friends inside or outside of baseball.

"Competitive, extremely competitive," Lee said "A guy that has unbelievable stuff as a lefthander. Throws mid to upper 90's, throws a changeup upper 80's and 90's. Not very often you come across a guy with that kind of stuff, with that kind of makeup. He's an animal. He's a monster out there. I enjoyed playing with him and respected the way he went about his business. That's why he's one of the best in the game."
