Lee was ready to complete game

With a 2-0 lead after the eighth inning, Cliff Lee was prepared to go out and finish the gem he started against the Yankees in Game 3.

Even  though he had already thrown 122 pitches.

``We were just going to let him go,'' Rangers manager Ron Washington said.  That is part of the Nolan Ryan theory of not babying pitchers. Perhaps that will catch on if the Rangers make a run to the World Series.

 When Texas scored six in the ninth,  there was no point in bringing Lee back. 

Lee's postseason mark is now 7-0 with a 1.26 earned run average. He has 67 strikeouts in 64 1/3 innings.
