Mets' first spring training game on March 5
The Mets will open their 2012 spring training schedule Monday, March 5, against the Washington Nationals at 6:10 p.m. at Digital Domain Park in Port St. Lucie, Fla. That game will mark the first of 15 home spring training games.
The Mets and Yankees will play a home-and-home spring training series for the first time since 1996. The Mets host the Yankees at Digital Domain Park on Tuesday, April 3, at 2:10 p.m. and travel to Tampa the next day at 12:05 p.m.
The Mets will play the world champion Cardinals six times, the Nationals, Marlins and Braves five times each and the Astros and Tigers four times apiece during the 31-game exhibition schedule.
