No beer in the Yankees clubhouse

The Yankees haven’t allowed beer in their clubhouse since the late 1990s, and Girardi said he agreed with Bobby Valentine’s decision to do away with it in Boston.
“It makes sense to me,” Girardi said. “You have to be careful in this day and age. You don’t want people drinking and driving. It’s not that you mind a guy having a beer, but when you’re at home they’re going to get in a car and drive home most likely. I think it’s a pretty good policy.”
