I'll go way out on a limb and predict that the Yankees will do better tonight than the last time they faced Cleveland's Fausto Carmona at Yankee Stadium. That was April 18 of last season and the Yankees allowed 14 runs in the second--the worst inning in their history--of a 22-4 loss.

Check the clippings and you'll find Carmona wasn't even mentioned in the game reports despite the fact he was the winning pitcher. He was such an afterthought in comparison to Yankees starter Chien-Ming Wang, the Javier Vazquez of his day.

Wang never did get it going last year, and the Yankees certainly didn't crumble because of it.
