First of all, that was a magnificent job by Dustin Moseley. Who would have thought, coming into Game 1 of the ALCS, that Moseley would be dominant and that he would be their best pitcher of the night? Very impressive.
Now, heading into the eighth inning, is crunch time that traditionally has crushed Yankees postseason opponents. You know the Twins would not have been able to hold a 5-1 lead heading into the final six outs of a game. Not that they would have had five runs to begin with.
