Parking at Stadium will cost you
MINNEAPOLIS - Bringing your car to Yankee Stadium for tomorrow's Game 3 of the American League Division Series or any other postseason game? Make sure you bring some money, too.
Parking in the official stadium garages and lots for home postseason games will cost $40. That's up from $23 in the regular season and $30 for last year's playoffs and World Series.
The Yankees do not set the prices for parking at the stadium, a team spokesman confirmed last night.
The Yankee Stadium garages are managed by Standard Parking, a Chicago-based company with locations through the country. The company's motto is "Ambiance in Parking." Standard signed a multiyear contract in 2008 with the Bronx Parking Development Company and the New York City Economic Development Corporation to manage the Yankee Stadium garages.
There also is valet parking at the stadium available for $50.
