Piniella, Berra invited to Steinbrenner ceremony
Add Lou Piniella and Yogi Berra to the list of former Yankees expected to attend tonight's unveiling of a monument to George Steinbrenner at Yankee Stadium.
Steinbrenner, who died on July 13--nine days after his 80th birthday--becomes the sixth Yankee to receive a monument. Manager Miller Huggins (1932) is tthe only other non-player on a list that includes Lou Gehrig (1941), Babe Ruth (1949), Mickey Mantle (1996) and Joe DiMaggio (1999).
