Game 2, Wednesday: Andy Pettitte (5-1, 2.68 ERA) for the Yankees vs. Francisco Liriano (4-3, 3.25 ERA) for the Twins. Pettitte beat Liriano and the Twins on May 15, 7-1. Pettitte gave up just two hits and no earned runs in 6.1 innings against Minnesota. Liriano also pitched well, allowed just three earned runs and nine hits in six innings. He also had seven strikeouts and no walks.

Game 3, Thursday: Javier Vazquez (3-4, 6.69 ERA) for the Yankees vs. Nick Blackburn (5-1, 4.50 ERA) for the Twins. Which Javier Vazquez will show up? The Yankees are hoping it's the Vazquez who held the Mets to no runs and just one hit in six innings before leaving with a bruised finger on Friday night.
