Rangers add two lefties to bullpen for ALCS
The Texas Rangers added lefthanded relievers Clay Rapada and Michael Kirkman to their bullpen for the American League Championship Series against the Yankees.
Game 1 is scheduled for Friday night, with the first pitch scheduled for 8:07 p.m. C.J. Wilson will pitch for the Rangers against CC Sabathia.
Esteban German, an infielder, and righthanded pitcher Dustin Nippert, who were both on the ALDS roster, were removed from the Rangers' 25-man roster to make room for Rapada and Kirkman.
The Rangers will now have four lefthanded relievers available against the Yankees. Veteran Darren Oliver and Derek Holland are the other lefties.
