Rangers still owe A-Rod money
According to this story from the Associated Press, the Texas Rangers still owe Alex Rodriguez nearly $25 million.
It seems like an eternity since A-Rod was wearing a Rangers uniform and playing shortstop. But a 21-page filing in a bankruptcy court has A-Rod at the top of the list of 30 unsecured creditors. The Rangers owe A-Rod $24.9 million in deferred compensation. Rodriguez was traded from the Rangers to the Yankees six years ago.
The Rangers filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy on Monday to help speed up the $575 million sale of the team.
