Riggleman resignation intrigues Girardi
Girardi was intrigued by the resignation of Washington manager Jim Riggleman on Thursday because of a contract issue at a time when the Nationals had won 11 of 12 games. “It’s different,’’ Girardi said. “It’s interesting. He’s done a very good job there. It’s not something you see every day in our business, though.’’
