Rodriguez going for lucky 13
Alex Rodriguez needs one more home run to reach 30 in a season for the 13th time in his career. That would tie the major league record held by Barry Bonds (1992-2004).
Rodriguez has hit at least 30 homers in every season since 1998. He had 23 for Seattle in 1997. He had 30 in an injury-shortened 2009, when he played in just 124 games. He had a stint on the disabled list this season and has appeared in 131 games.
