TAMPA, Fla. — Alex Rodriguez says he has met with officials from Major League Baseball on Thursday to discuss his relationship with a Canadian doctor who is under federal investigation in a drug case.

Rodriguez says Friday he cooperated with MLB and they were very happy.

The New York Yankees slugger was expected to first meet with federal agents about Dr. Anthony Galea, who faces four charges in Canada related to human growth hormone and Actovegin.

Galea told The Associated Press in an interview March 8 he prescribed anti-inflammatories for Rodriguez, not HGH, after the third baseman had hip surgery last year.
