CC Sabathia (18-5, 3.14), today's starter againt the A's, is pitching like it's 2007. That is the year he won the American League Cy Young Award with the Indians. He had a 19-7 record and 3.21 earned run average.

Sabathia is once again  the leading candidate to be named the league's best pitcher. He had 209 strikeouts in his 2007 Cy Young season;  he has 160 entering this start.

Sabathia's most dominating season came in 2008, when he pitched for the Indians and Brewers. His record was just 17-10, but had a 2.70 ERA and 251 strikeouts. He has never won 20 games.
