Smoltz at top of his game on TBS

        John Smoltz always was terrific in the postseason. He's a little wordy, but he's on top of his game tonight.

         When Ernie Johnson noted that Rangers shortstop Elvis Andrus hasn't cut his hari all season, Smoltz--very follicle challenged--added "just like me."

          With A-Rod up here in the top of the fourth, he mentioned that it's not every game in the postseason when one player is being paid by both clubs, as A-Rod is.

           He ought to be writing for Conan. TBS has let word leak out that Conan O'Brien is starting a new show soon.
