Talkin' baseball: Joe DiMaggio's 56-game hit streak
On May 15, 1941, Joe DiMaggio singled once in four at-bats against Eddie Smith of the Chicago White Sox.
And so began DiMaggio's 56-game hitting streak, the best in baseball history and one of the most unbreakable records in all of sports.
