The Yankees are off today ahead of a three-game series with last place Seattle at Yankee Stadium. Meanwhile, Tampa Bay will visit Fenway tomorrow for the first of three games.  The Red Sox are two games behind the Yankees,  the Rays are three out.

What scenerio benefits the Yankees? Let's go with history and say the best help comes from Tampa Bay winning two of three. The Rays have their own issues, but can be handled later. Get the Red Sox while they are hurting.

Boston has injuries to Victor Martinez, Jacoby Ellsbury, Dustin Pedroia, Clay Bucholtz and Josh Beckett. That would seem to make the Rex Sox vulnerable--even with the division's best record (7-3) over the last 10 games.

You want the Rays to win this series.
