Texas Rangers start to chip away
OK, it's just a little chip.
Matt Treanor, in for Game 4 hero Bengie Molina today as the catcher, hit a solo home run to left field off CC Sabathia in the top of the fifth to make it 5-1.
The Rangers have had runners on base in every inning, but a solo home run can't do too much damage.
Mitch Moreland, the No. 9 hitter, singled sharply to center after Treanor's home run. With the top of the order coming up, we'll see if Sabathia can buckle down. CC's stuff is sharp today. But you don't want the Rangers to get much closer.
