Many of the Yankees don't have a lot of history against tonight's start for Minnesota, Scott Baker.

Marcus Thames, however, does. Thames is hitting .308 with four home runs and six RBI in 26 career at-bats against Baker. Remember, Thames saw a lot of Baker as a member of the Detroit Tigers, since the Twins and Tigers are division foes. Thames went 1 for 3 with two strikeouts against Baker on May 14, a game the Yankees won 8-4.

Thames sprained his left ankle last Wednesday against the Tampa Bay Rays. He sat out Thursday's game against the Rays and the first game of the Subway Series against the Mets on Friday. He was used as a pinch hitter on Saturday and Sunday. We'll see if he's in the lineup tonight.
