Today's lineups
The tarp has just come off the field here at Yankee Stadium. The rain had held off most of the morning, but we're getting a drizzle now, about 20 minutes before the game.
The weather, of course, is subject to change.
Today, the Yanks look to finish off a seven-game homestand 5-2 in the rubber game against Seattle.
CC Sabathia (16-5, 3.12) takes the hill for New York today, looking to become the first American League pitcher to reach 17 wins. He'll be opposed by 24-year old lefty Luke French (2-3, 4.02), who will be making his fourth start since being recalled from the minors on July 28.
He had a no-hitter through five innings on Tuesday in Baltimore. He picked up the win after allowing just three hits in 7 2/3 innings.
