Will Yanks increase offer to Jeter?
Some reports are suggesting the Yanks will upgrade their three-year, $45 million offer to free agent Derek Jeter.
Meanwhile, the thought that the Red Sox would go after Jeter apparently has no basis, according to the Boston Globe's Nick Cafardo. The writer also said an unnamed GM places Jeter's value in the open market at no more than a two-year contract at $16 million.
To date, no other known offers have been made to Jeter.
