With Price pitching, can't count on Orioles
The Yankees received unexpected help from the Orioles last night as they beat the Rays, 4-0, to keep the Yanks' hopes alive for winning the division.
That doesn't figure to happen for a second straight night as David Price (18-6, 2.84) starts for Tampa Bay.
Price beat the Yankees--and CC Sabathia--last week as he allowed three runs on eight hits. Price has a career record against Baltimore of 3-0 with a 2.59 ERA. Brad Bergesen (8-10, 4.90) is 0-3 with a 9.00 ERA vs. the Rays.
Price could gain plenty of Cy Young support with a good outing. So could Seattle's Felix Hernandez (12-12, 2.31) who starts at Texas in a bid to raise his record above .500.
We'll get to Sabathia, his Cy Young chances and the obvious importance of tonight's start later this afternoon.
