Yankee roster moves in between doubleheader
Between games of Wednesday's day-night doubleheader, the Yankees put RHP Jeff Marquez on the DL with a sore right shoulder. RHP Buddy Carlyle was recalled from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre and was to be available in time for the second game.
Mariano Rivera recorded the 578th save of his career in the first game and record 66th in interleague play.
Robinson Cano extended his hitting streak to 11 games with his single in the ninth inning of the second game and is hitting .409 (18-for-44) in that stretch.
