Weather forces Yankees to move CC Sabathia's number retirement, Saturday's game to Friday as part of doubleheader

The Yankees announced Thursday that they have moved Saturday’s game against the Orioles to Friday because of the forecast for sustained inclement weather.
The postponed game will be played as the first game of a single-admission doubleheader at Yankee Stadium beginning at 4:05 p.m. Friday. The second game will start no earlier than 7:05 p.m. If the opener ends after 6:35 p.m., the second game will begin approximately 30 minutes after the final out.
CC Sabathia’s number retirement ceremony and Monument Park plaque unveiling will also take place Friday before the 4:05 p.m. game.
Only tickets dated Friday, Sept. 25, will be valid for the doubleheader. Tickets for the originally scheduled Saturday game will not be accepted Friday and can be exchanged for a comparable regular-season game, subject to availability.
Yankee Stadium gates will open at 2:30 p.m. Friday.
