Losing two of three to the Phillies was a temporary setback for the Yankees. Or was it?

A. J. Burnett got pounded Wednesday and you read Ken Davidoff's column about the trust factor with that pitcher. Thursday night, semi-injured Alex Rodriguez was one-for-four as tthe designated hitter, Derek Jeter was hitless in four at-bats, Jorge Posada didn't play amid reports of continued pain in his right foot. Andy Pettitte wasn't quite the ace he has been, though a one-run offense was sure to doom anyone on the mound.

In the bullpen, Joba Chamberlain frankly stank in giving up three runs to push his ERA to 5.72.  He was only asked to keep the game within reach.

It seems the Yankees, albeit in a first place tie with the Rays, have numerous problems.
