Yankees honor Steinbrenner Saturday

A  ceremony to honor the  memory of George Steinbrenner  will take place before today' s exhibition game in Tampa.  

YES will carry the ceremony at 12:45 p.m.

The George M. Steinbrenner High School marching band will perform  and a video tribute will be shown.

Text on the Steinbrenner statue outside the stadium will be recited. The Steinbrenner family will lay a rose at home plate. Haley Swindal, the late owner's granddaughter, will sing the national anthem.
