In roster news, the Yanks recalled RHP Romulo Sanchez today and sent OF Greg Golson back to Triple-A Scranton. Sanchez, 26, is 0-2 with a 6.48 ERA in five starts for the Scranton Yankees.
He's the new long-relief man, with either Sergio Mitre or Alfredo Aceves in line to take Andy Pettitte's Tuesday start in Detroit.
