Yankees release Chad Gaudin
Pitcher Chad Gaudin was just informed that he was being released by the Yankees. The move saves the Yankees more than $2 million.
"I thought I had a spot," Gaudin said. "But you know what happens when you assume."
Phil Hughes, the soon-to-be announced fifth starter, will start Friday night vs. the Phillies on short rest as the Yankees get their pitchers in order for the start of the season.
