Yankees to wear special patch for Derek Jeter starting on Sunday

The Yankees Tuesday night announced they will start wearing a special uniform patch honoring retiring captain Derek Jeter on Sunday, which will be Derek Jeter Day at Yankee Stadium.
The Jeter Day ceremony will be before Sunday's 1:05 p.m. game against the Royals. Fans are asked to be in their seats by noon.
The Yankees will wear the patch until the end of the season. Jeter's final regular-season home game is Sept. 25 against the Orioles. The Yankees end the regular season with three games in Boston.
