Yanks' Curtis a feel good story
Recent callup Colin Curtis got his first big league hit, a two-run double, in the Yankees’ 9-3 victory over Arizona on Tuesday night.
It brought Curtis full circle. At age 15, Curtis developed testicular cancer and it spread to his lymph nodes and veins in his stomach. He required surgery but has been cancer free for nearly 10 years.
Curtis' illness caught the attention of cyclist and cancer survivor Lance Armstrong, who presented the young man with an autographed book.
