Artest likes Melo-NY marriage

Former St. John's star Ron Artest momentarily let his hometown love cloud his better judgment when discussing the Carmelo Anthony trade rumors Friday.

"I hope they get him," the Queens product said of the Knicks, whom he admitted he still roots for. Artest quickly put his hand over his mouth, however, and changed his tune. "Well, I'm not promoting it. I hope they continue to do well. I hope one day they can make the championship. I would love to play against them in the championship."
