Carmelo Anthony was among the current and former athletes who appeared on "The Late Show with David Letterman" Monday night and read Letterman’s famed Top 10 List.

With the renovated Garden set to open next week, the category was Top 10 Career Highlights at Madison Square Garden.

The best one was delivered by ex-Knick John Starks, who said, “Being featured on the Kiss Cam with Jeff Van Gundy.”

Walt "Clyde" Frazier, who fittingly read No. 10, said, “Dishing and swishing, swooping and hooping and a bunch of other rhyming crap.”

Larry Johnson had No. 8, and he said, “The day I finally learned Knicks was short for Knickerbockers.”

Bill Bradley, at No. 4, read, “The night I made 10 free throws and won a stuff kangaroo.”
Anthony, No. 2, said, “Last season I led the NBA in scoring and tattoos.”

Actually, his teammate J.R. Smith probably led the league in tats.

The other legends there were Henrik Lundquist, Adam Graves, Rod Gilbert, Gerry Cooney and John McEnroe.

Johnny Mac got to read the No. 1 career highlight at MSG, and he yelled, “The Jonas brothers are splitting up! I never would’ve done this lousy show if I had known about the Jonas Brothers!’’.. and then stormed off.
