GREENBURGH, N.Y. -- Carmelo Anthony was back on the court for Wednesday's practice after sitting out Tuesday with a hyperextended right knee. The Knicks star said he "absolutely" would be ready to play in Saturday's preseason opener against the Nets.

Anthony, who had surgery on his left knee to "clean out" the joint, admitted he was concerned after he fell during Monday's practice.

"Yeah, it was scary when it first happened," Anthony said. "The way that I fell down, just that feeling, anytime you have a knee injury like that it gets scary. But I'm good."

Anthony reported to training camp in excellent shape and said he prepared himself for the compressed schedule.

"The way I trained this summer," Anthony said, "for me to come out here the other day and kind of tweak my knee a little bit and actually be back and actually practicing, that's a good sign of all the hard work that I've put in this offseason and all the hard work the training staff has put in with me up to this point."
