Carmelo Anthony is having his best all-around season and deserves MVP consideration, but he's behind a few guys in the conversation.

Reigning MVP LeBron James is the front-runner to win again. He showed it last Sunday at the Garden when he had 29 points, 11 rebounds and seven assists, and shut down Anthony in the fourth quarter.

James is the most complete player in the game right now. He had to get a kick out of M-V-P chants when Anthony shot free throws.

Kevin Durant and Chris Paul are next in line in the MVP race, ahead of Anthony and Tony Parker. Parker is out four weeks with an ankle injury.
