When the starters were announced Monday evening at Madison Square Garden, Jalen Brunson, as always, was the last name called. But this time it came with an additional descriptor as “2026 All-Star starter.”

Brunson was named an All-Star starter for the second straight season — his third straight season as an All-Star selection.

“It’s great,” Knicks coach Mike Brown said. “He’s having a great season. It’s definitely an honor that’s well deserved.”

Brown lobbied for the other Knicks starters through much of the season, but Brunson was the lone selection from the Knicks named as a starter.

Karl-Anthony Towns, a five-time All-Star, finished seventh in both the fan and media voting and was ninth in the player voting.

OG Anunoby ranked 11th in the player balloting and 15th in fan voting and did not receive any media votes. Mikal Bridges and Josh Hart ranked 17th and 18th in overall voting, Bridges finishing 20th in player voting and 17th in fan voting and Hart placing 21st in player voting and 18th in fan voting.
