Jeremy Lin makes his MSG return tomorrow night with the Rockets in what should be another interesting night at the Garden.

Lin was tremendous last season, one of the greatest sports stories ever. But his departure led to feelings of anger, sadness, indifference and in some cases relief.

Right now, the Knicks look much better off for not matching the Rockets’ three-year, $25.1 million offer to Lin.

Raymond Felton may shoot too much in some games, but he has been the leader of a strong point guard trio that includes Jason Kidd and Pablo Prigioni.

The Knicks are 18-5 and 10-0 at home, so everything looks good right now. But as Lin returns, the big question is what kind of reaction will he get? Here’s how some of the Knicks reacted to that very question:

“I think they’re going to give him a heck of an ovation,” Steve Novak said. “I’d be shocked if it was anything else - unless everybody changed their mind and hates him. I think he’s one of those guys that people are going to remember for his time here. It wasn’t a very, very long time, but it was special. He played unbelievably well. I think there will be a movie about it one day.”

“He brought a lot of great vibes to the city and the arena in general,” Tyson Chandler said. “I had a fun time playing with him. I don’t know what the reception is, but whatever it is, he’s on the other side now.”

Felton said, “They should give him a standing ovation when he comes back here. Without a doubt.”
